The first-born son of a teetotaling Methodist minister, Dave attributes his career in the wine business to Providence. That, and a little good luck. “I first cultivated an interest in wine with an eye toward impressing a cute and rather sophisticated amateur chef with whom I'd become acquainted. As luck and the Good Lord would have it, I wound up with a wife and a job — perhaps more than I bargained for.” Since then, he’s enjoyed traveling, tasting, writing and talking about fine wines and spirits. More than anything, he enjoys the pleasure of putting good wine in the hands of his customers.
